The Department of Computer Science and Statistics at The University of Southern Mississippi offers the student a diversified academic program in the study of computer systems design, theory and application.

To accommodate students with varying interests and career goals, students may minor in any area of their choice. It is suggested that an incoming student consult with one of the department's advisors to obtain guidance in selecting a minor area. In addition, computer education and statistics courses are offered by the department.
