The University of Southern Mississippi-Gulf Coast The University of Southern Mississippi-Gulf Coast campus invites applications for two tenure-track positions at the rank of Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Statistics to begin in January 2000. The department offers B.S. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science and Statistics. The main campus is located in Long Beach, MS. The University also support three other teaching centers, all on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, at Gautier, Keesler AFB, and Stennis Space Center. Qualifications for the position include an earned doctorate in computer science or a closely related area (ABD considered) an interest in teaching and conducting scholarly research. Teaching responsibilities will range from introductory undergraduate courses to supervising graduate thesis preparation. We are particularly interested in individuals with expertise in computer graphics or DBMS. Qualified applicants with interest in other areas of computer science will also be given full consideration.
